A romantically challenged producer (Katherine Heigl) agrees to listen to her male chauvinist, newly aboard, correspondent (Gerald Butler) to prove what she thinks are crazy “theories” on a relationship between a female and male. Does the girl find what she was looking for, love? Does the ugly truth find love in the end? You’ll have to watch the movie. It's funny, and great even for guys to see. It's about the female, and her emotions, her "list". Then there's the guy that, wants looks, sex, you get the idea. They compare what each side goes through when dating, and they learn what it really takes for a relationship to work, to find love.
The ugly truth can definitely be ugly, as they say “the truth hurts.” But does it really hurt? If you think about it, the truth can in the end be positive, a great, amazing thing! I say this because, well take relationships for example. You’re dating this guy/girl for a couple years, everything is good, you enjoy your time together, you have the same interests, and the best part is you don’t argue. Now let’s think about that, does that sound perfect to you? Well maybe, but let’s be real, it doesn’t sound GREAT. To be honest it sounds a bit boring. In anything you do in life, you have to go through obstacles to appreciate what really matters in life, making you stronger! Experiencing hardships makes you a better person; it helps you define yourself, and teaches you what makes YOU. If relationships were easy, there would be no learning, not only about yourself but about your partner, and working as a team. I think it is important to feel heartbreak, to feel a low so low. You have lost someone you loved (will always love), asking yourself how will I get to tomorrow. Break ups suck! No one wants to go through it; no one wants to hurt someone, especially if you love them. When it comes to love, you have to be selfish at times, it’s your life and you can’t hold on to something or “walk” through the motions of a relationship that is well, just good. People tell you it takes half the time of your relationship to get over them (6 months for a year relationship). I am helping a best friend go through a break up and it’s hard because I know exactly what she is going through. The best advice I think I can give her is that it’s not easy, but the more you push yourself to be strong and allow yourself to let go, the faster your heart can heal. Healing will allow you to open your heart to the next person that may come along and could be “the one,” or maybe the "just for now" but you won't know till you know. Timing is everything, and if you can help that process just a little or maybe a lot, then DO IT, what do you have to lose? Nothing. You have everything to gain. You have possible love, laughter, new memories to create (you don’t have to forget the old ones), a new chapter in your life, and most importantly, someone new to share your life with. It doesn't matter if they are coming into your life for a couple weeks, months, or maybe a lifetime. What matters is they are there, embrace it, enjoy the moment. Sometimes it’s hard to start something new because what you had before was familiar, it was easy. You don’t think that you can feel the same way you did before, and you won’t because it’s with someone different. However, what if you open your heart to someone new and as time goes by your heart opens and it’s....AMAZING! That is a chance I am willing to take. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives ♥

breakups are hard, but in the end, i think it's better to be single and in a temporary state of pain than with someone who isn't right for you. the longer you are w/ someone who isn't your "one"..... the more it will hurt when the inevitable happens. you just gotta hang in there. even though it may seem far away or just plain impossible, there is always a brighter tomorrow. good stuff, steph!!!
